Privacy Policy

Optelly ("we", "us", "our") operates the optelly.com website and service. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. What We Collect

When you use Optelly, we collect:

OpenTelemetry data — metrics and events from your AI coding agents, including: session IDs, event types, tool names, token counts, cost data, timestamps, model names, and error indicators.
Session metadata — user ID, terminal type, app version. Email address is optional and can be redacted via privacy settings.
API key — a hashed identifier for authentication. The raw key is shown once and never stored.
Billing information — managed entirely by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status, never card numbers.

2. What We Don't Collect

Prompt content — we do not store the text of prompts or AI responses unless you explicitly enable this in privacy settings.
Source code — file contents, diffs, and code are not transmitted or stored.
Browsing activity — we use no tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or third-party trackers.

3. How Data Is Stored

Your telemetry data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database on AWS infrastructure (EC2 with EBS volumes). Access is restricted to the Optelly service. Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.

4. Data Retention

Free tier: telemetry data is automatically deleted after 24 hours.
Pro tier: telemetry data is retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted.

You can request immediate deletion of all your data at any time.

5. Third Parties

Stripe — processes payments. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
AWS — hosts our infrastructure. See AWS Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.

6. Privacy Controls

Optelly provides server-side privacy controls:

Email redaction — email addresses can be hashed before storage.
File path redaction — file paths in events can be stripped automatically.
Prompt content — not stored by default.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to save UI preferences (office layout, filter settings, mute state). We do not use tracking cookies.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at info+optelly@victoryapplications.com.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the service or email.
